Saving them for the playoffs when games count. An 11 game regular season in football is just like a 162 game baseball regular season...no worries, we can afford to have an off-day or off- week, because we have sooooo many games ahead of us.

Blows me away when folks actually do believe in the "wait until the playoffs it will be fine" saying. Sure, it has proven to be somewhat true at times, but to bet a teams season outcome on that is just a bad idea. And the other thought "we don't want to show anyone our teams capabilities until we have to" is also just as bad of an idea. I myself am all in on showing teams everything we can do and will, so that they spend very little time on 95% of our playbook playbook, instead of a lot of time on 50% of it when we run that 50% of the book 90% of the time. Make it so that teams can only be a little prepared for everything we might do instead of totally ready.
