Sounds like Missouri State is looking for ways to cut $750k from their budget. The MVFC might very well stay at 10 teams or less....
Missouri State is already at the minimum Men's Sports for FCS (six). Depending on their Title IX compliancy, they might have to cut one of their 11 Women's Sports, or substitute a Men's Sport with a cheaper one.
$750,000 is a lot of money, but should be fairly easy to work-out in the budgeting process. Missouri State has a bigger budget than NDSU's at $25 million. About $16 million is subsidized by the school. 2015 was the first year I could find on record that they receive funds from Student Fees ($3.5 million). My guess, they increase ticket prices (or drop them to increase demand) or increase Student Fees at a small rate.
Hail the BISON!!!
MSU, ISUb, WIU all suck. get em out of here. They either suck completely, or have facilities indistinguishable from a crappy high school, or both. (not purple at all)
Add St Johns, St Thomas, Sioux Falls, UW Whitewater, UW Oshkosh, and UMDuluth and have a 14 team super conference!!
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
