This was a good game, because we saw who will be dominant this year, and in the years to come.

Cyrus Lemon- Great Coverage and Int.-Return for a TD

McNorton and Voigtlander- Looked Promising in 4th Quarter

Heckendorf- Continued to be Incredible

Mertens- Lakes is right- this kid will be a stud

Defense- All That I could Hope For


This is definitely a great year. Hopefully a trip to Chatanooga can come out of it!

Did the video feed cut out before the game was officially over? That would have been a disaster had it been a close game with that final play determining the game. I remember game slots being on time-limits before - is this what happened?

Yes it did, that will need to be fixed especially if there is an overtime game.

Considering they call it "premium" you'd think that they would stream the post game show as well. When the game is finished, I don't care if they cut off the video, not too excited to watch an empty dome, but I'd like to listen to the post game.

I just checked SS to see how the trucks are doing. They are winning, but started out poorly. What is funny is their game thread. We have 18 PAGES of posts, they have 18 POSTS TOTAL. Seriously. Don't seem too interested in their first D1 game. Good thing they still have hockey.

Just got back from the dome 20 min ago.


I thought I'd see less blue seats then that. but whatever, sweet W...the defense dominated and Mertens tore them up

I was interested in who would play as backup's on defense. It looks like the coaches have a lot of confidence in Garret Johnson, Coulter, Boyer, Matt Kittelson, Matt Anderson (he started this game), Yuen, several corners (bowman, mitchell, colvin). There were others that played almost right away in the fourth quarter. I like the depth at all those positions.

But one thing that bothered me as far as depth is concerned....I didn't see a different safety for even one play until about 5 minutes left in the game. That is when Bigley and Purcell came in. I know the saftey is just that...the last line of defense, but this tells me that the coaches think these young players have some more learning to do before they feel comfortable with them. We are very young at safety. One more injury there and someone will have to grow up fast.
