This is what I wrote in the other thread about this...
Listening to the reporter that covers Minot. Minot learned he was going back to Mankato via e mail at 2:45 yesterday.
The team found out the way and time we did.
This guy sounds like a class act.

It sucks for Minot but I can't blame the coach for going back to Mankato. If you want to be mad at someone, look for the root cause of all of this. The people to be mad at are the prosecutor and Mankato State. If they react differently, he never accepts a Minot State job.

I don't care how the vote ended up. They still suck and always will.

He had no idea if his appeals would be successful. Meanwhile he needs income to support his family. I can't imagine going back into that environment so I'm guessing he's assuming some of the other people will be gone or its a pay to get settlement money out of Mankato. Strange situation for sure.

He didn't have a job in Mankato when he interviewed in Minot. Hedberg is the one who said that they were aware of his grievance and that this was a possibility (It appears that he didn't feel it was all that likely it would happen). I don't blame Todd for accepting the Minot job. Furthermore, I don't blame him for going back to Mankato. There is a monumental difference in the programs.
Well there goes our QB Coach........

MANKATO, Minn. - Players for the Minnesota State University-Mankato football team announced Wednesday that they would not practice under their newly reinstated coach.
Todd Hoffner, who was fired by the university over pornography allegations, announced Tuesday that he would return to his former coaching job. An arbitrator’s ruling that he was fired improperly made his return to Mankato possible.
But the bulk of the team is standing behind acting head coach Aaron Keen, according to the website of The Reporter, the campus newspaper at MSU-Mankato.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, also said that he was committed to MSU-
"
"During the process we knew that Todd had an ongoing grievance with Minnesota State and we knew that there was a possibility he would be offered his job back," Hedberg said. "He assured us that he was committed to Minot State and to starting new, and that we would be the school that not only gave him a chance to start over, but was in his long-term plans. It's unfortunate that didn't turn out.""
