If you want to check out what he sounds like. Here is his voice over of the spring championship when Sam beat SDSU. Seems like a really good get.

Who? A quick search of his name yielded this as the first entry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOW95BOOvWw

This one will be more useful in helping with your assessment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0nT_c8aomY

Go to 31:55 to hear him call a touchdown. Not bad.

I have to admit, that is a great play by play voice.

Sort of interesting: He only started in sports media in 2015. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in IT. He started doing play by play for SHSU in 2019, and was named sports director of his radio station in 2020. This will be the first time he's lived anywhere outside of his corner of Texas. He grew up and lived in Georgetown, TX(50 miles north of Houston), and then relocated to Huntsville in 2020(125 miles west and part of the Austin metro).

That's what I was thinking. NDSU > FBS Sam Houston for radio gigs. LOL

Wow... I can think of a certain someone whose name rhymes with Speith Drake who can't be thrilled to see that little blurb.
