Wouldnt it make sense to just buy another bubble and leave it up year round for baseball and softball? A bubble costs under 5 million. Put it by Tharaldson and make the indoor hitting facility a duel facility for baseball and softball.

From what I heard a few years ago is that the bubble cost a lot more than people realize to heat light every year.

I would imagine so. You dont keep it cool in the summer but keep it heated in the winter. Lighting is cheap with LEDs but keeping blower going 24/7 has to be spendy. We already have most of the stuff. I'm sure its expensive but it's kind of the cost of doing business and fielding a competitive team and attracting recruits

Or just put it up during the winter months like we do now

To build an IPF for baseball/softball would be cool but probably 20+ million

But we could earn some of that money back by renting it to youth sports who don't have a ton of places to use in the winter

A new bubble would be in the neighborhood of 10 million. Brooklyn Park's was about $8 million and that was 3 years ago.

As of tonight, the sand base is down for the outside practice field. Goal posts, scoreboard, and endzone coach towers in place. East side of building is enclosed.
