Anybody want to bet against this becoming part of the "Bash Lakes Liturgy?"

While they are finding that there are some similar stresses.... these are from studies done in the last few years... for most of fast pitch softballs existence the train of thought was that they could throw everyday and multiple games in a day

Well yeah, but do those torques equate to overuse injuries? That’s the question. The scientific study quoted in the article and your post says that more investigation is needed.

I understand that the motion in softball pitching in and of itself is not the problem. Just like a baseball pitcher overuse of that motion can cause problems. The statement that got the topic started was that it is a natural motion and pitchers could do it every day. Maybe I am missing something.

"The greatest danger for softball pitchers is overuse. Overuse leads to tendinitis in the rotator cuff, biceps and other tendons of the arm. Repetitive strain weakens the tendons in your arm. Microscopic tears form. Not giving your arm enough rest makes this problem worse."

bottom line, we lost on a day 3 end of series game vs sdsu/und and 18-0 and 35-10 looks way better on paper than 16-2 and 33-12.

    sorry.

Probably neither ones arm will hurt but El Chapo's neck might as he whips his head around to watch the homers from his pitches.
