If any Bison player has been deserving of a national individual award in recent years, it has to be Kyle Emanuel. In practically every game this year he has consistently stood out as the most dominating player on a defense filled with excellent players.
Past conversations of other Bison players who have been snubbed for national awards (Brock for example) have on some level made sense. Although they were all great players I can also see how much of their success also depended on being part of a great team and not solely as a result of their individual talent. Kyle however is on another level.
Kyle Emanual is the BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER IN FCS and One of the BEST PLAYERS PERIOD!
I've enjoyed watching how much better he has gotten in his four years at NDSU!

"Give the Man his award, he is the best."
No surprise, but Kyle is the MVFC Defensive POY!

Buchanan should be next!
Former NDSU intramural athlete.
Very well deserved! Should win Buchanan award easily. (I just hope that doesn't jinx the string of natty where the team won it all without any national recognition for any one player . )
Good for him.
Here is the write-up by the MVFC on Kyle Emanuel:

No mention of his interception and following stiff arm from hell...

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.
