Until the Mountain West comes a calling (since we are geographically constrained in our options, and P5 will not happen), it seems to me that best option is to stay FCS in our geographically-friendly MVFC.
I'm sorry, but I don't agree. Any configuration of an FBS CUSA would be an improvement in competition--just from the opportunity of OOC games alone. Plus, UTEP would be competitive. Liberty would be competitive. LA Tech would be competitive. Yeah, there would be some duds in CUSA, but pot meet kettle. FCS sucks and has for a while.

UTEP La Tech Liberty would all be in the UNI/SDSU range. Their sagarin ratings have been comparable for years.

The “lower quality football” argument is another false argument from the FCSers

Actually JMU talk of moving up has been ongoing for some time.

For some reason people are trying to add NDSU in to the conversation when theyve been saying the AD is doing nothing. Strange.

I actually agree with you. Some fans in other conferences are talking about us. But sports writers aren't because conference officials aren't. And that's because the AD has likely done nothing.

Shouldn’t be hard to find some articles then where reporters and/or ADs had been talking about JMU going FBS then?

Go ahead and send them my way. Any time during the “ongoing talks for some time” would be fine. Thanks

Everyone here knows full well it’s not what I’ve been wishing for but rather what you’ve been wishing for. I assume you own a bar in Frisco.

I apologize for missing any nuance in your post. I’m dense. I admit it.

But you should probably buy the bar back. Let me go in halves with you. Because I think NDSU will be stuck going to Frisco for many years to come.
