I don't know if it was 80 yds but while at NDSU the coaches and players all claimed he could throw the ball a ridiculous distance, further than anyone including the QBs on the roster.

If you were ever in the dome early when the guys were out warming up, he would throw some bombs. 80 yards? I dont know. Maybe. I do recall being surprised though.
