It would have been a good game. Their backs are fast...sheez.

The Bison could run on that defense.

Oregon plays the Bison in a world without covid. The Oregon defense would be a lot different in that scenario. Oregon was down 6 players on defense due to opt outs and contact tracing.

Where do we honestly think NDSU would be at right now in The real world with COVID?

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

That’s the point. Who knows? It’s the luck of the draw right now. The point I made is the product you’re seeing now wouldn’t have been the product had we played on schedule.

Against Wazzu we were down a 1st round nickel back, 1st and 3rd string field corner (mid round draft pick), 1st and 3rd string boundary safety, 1b at nose tackle, and a back up WIL backer.

We played a 5 man box all day to get them to run. We aren’t tackling and fitting the run well. We got an abbreviated camp and limited live reps in fall camp.

The UCA game was sloppy too.

Bottom line we held Wazzu to field goals and bowed up in the red zone. Our red zone d has to be one of the top in the nation. Wazzu has had our number and 29 is their worst output in some time. There are a lot of positives - no pun intended.

Pac 12 now allowing for out of conference games to the schedule. It’s like the stitches just ripped back open on the wound.
