Dibs on the first "the nickname cured my cancer" story.

I saw Fighting Sioux Forever written with sidewalk chalk near by the No Name campus, but I am still unsure if it was kids or the students. Maybe I will go and try to snap a pic of it tomorrow.

Here's your chance. The Herald is looking for you to help drag this on a few decades longer...

That's it, Grand Forks Herald! Just keep fanning the flames and riling up the crowd! That is a very positive approach to this whole mess.

She wants Sioux pride pictures? Send her the Jenner transition pic.

Just noticed that Anna Burleson has UND ties that go back years---she is originally from Watertown SD and is a 2013 graduate of USD's Mass Communications program.

So who is submitting the UND fan "expressing himself" to the Michigan hockey player?

If I directed the GSMB, I'd put that song in the halftime show and have the band form a giant Fighting Sioux logo on the field.

I'd be fired the next day, but it'd be worth it.

Okay, not really worth it, but still...

Maybe this could go to both The Herald and Nickname Committee.

That song would be a hit with the kids too! Think they should play it over the loudspeakers anyway.
