When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

“I really thought you had to run the football to control the game,” Erhardt once said. “You had to throw the football to score but had to run the football to win.” - Ron Erhardt
This may be one of the dumbest posts I have read in a while (says a lot). TP was on the coaching staff for the first two Nattys, went to NIU for 2013 and came back. Regardless of what is said on here, Polasek has lost 3 games in two years which very few coaches can say. I 100% assure everyone that Tim knows how special being a Bison is how and much he cares about this team. Saying he is padding his resume is rediculous.
I am getting out of this thread. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul....

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
If Carson is 100% then he will play every down and rightfully so. Easton will have 3 more years to grow into his own. This is still Carson's team. Hope he gets to finish this
Not saying he is padding his resume, I'm saying he is padding his massive ego. Never said anything about him not caring about the program or the players, not questioning that at all. I realize he was an assistant here and he should have seen how the culture and philosophy works. Apparently one year and NIU had a much more profound affect on his mindset as an OC, because he surely didn't learn the read option during his time at NDSU.
All I'm saying is that for some reason, he thinks his way is better and is an improvement over what we were doing. I strongly disagree with him. You apparently think we have only lost 3 games the past 2 years only because of Polasek and the changes he's made since he got here. I'm nearly certain he thinks that as well. I feel that having the best defense in the country played a much, much larger role. I do think that Polasek's play calling was directly responsible for the 2 losses this year.
Nothing personal. Just strongly disagree with an awful lot of the plays he calls. I feel like many of the risks he takes are not worth it, and some actually hurt his players chances of winning the game. I think this team is immensely talented, and that the strides the defense has made this year are amazing. Our players are executing at an extremely high level on both sides of the ball. Right now I think the biggest weakness of this team is our play calling. Polasek's demeanor doesn't make him any more likeable, in my opinion. By all means, feel free to disagree.
