As the chairman of the National Dairy Council that partners with the NFL on its "Play 60" health program, Messer got to experience the VIP treatment at Wednesday's event with the top prospects for tonight's NFL Draft... "If you watch Carson grow up, you notice there's not a lot that phases him," Jerry Messer said. "It's a huge stage here but I think he's handling it fantastic. The kid exemplifies what North Dakota is all about and that's what's cool about it. The kid will walk away from this big stage here, go back home and hunt some deer. That's just the way the kid is. I don't think the big stage is going to bother him; I think he has the ability to take that step and take it in increments and no matter where he goes, he's going to take a little North Dakota with him. It's almost like The Dairy Man was hired to try to get "The Kid" into the press... like when George was pushing for a nickname on Seinfeld...

Jerry is a good and smart man and knows NDSU well. He lives just a few miles from where I grew up. His daughter DelRae ran track at NDSU.

I think for the situation the Brown's are in, no. They need to fill too many holes to spend that much capital on a single draft pick. They needed to turn that #2 overall into more draft picks. That's why they traded back even farther a second time.

I think they roll with RG3 at QB and pick up a project QB in later rounds.

Browns don't need just a cherry on top, they need to build a sundae first.

Man, I hope the Rams don't screw this up...pick Carson you fools. Carson will be starting and winning somewhere this season. I can't wait for him to disprove all this "Goff is the most NFL-ready"

My feeling is that the Rams made the popular decision, instead of the logical one.

But it sure seems like Philly fans and coaches are ready to embrace Carson, and give him the chance to prove himself.
