You might be on to something...but I doubt they were offering money to NDSU...probably selling it as exposure. They would be looking to make money for themselves...

Yes, they would take a cut, but no way NDSU agrees to this without a sizable cut/guarentee. Just crazy talk here, but could they sell out a UN_/NDSU game? Tough being outside of ND, but tons would come down, but a lot of alumni down there for both schools. I guess I am wondering if they simply is enough money to be had to keep all parties happy.

Just curious as to who instigated it if not the Twins?

To me this was always a Twins play. Their rent payments went up substantially at Target Field and their revenues are down substantially due to lost ticket sales due to poor performance.

I think it is crystal clear at this point. I simply was not sure before.

St. Pete is prez of the Twins organization; alot of the blame for their shitty season can be laid at his feet.

Duh, been saying that since the beginning. Any body with a pulse could see that.

Funny thing is I have a pulse, and did not see that. So I guess you are wrong.

In the article there is a link to the soccer game setup.
It is horrible. Absolutely atrocious. Look at the sideline tickets. The good seats behind home plate and along the 3rd base line, which would normally be the premium sideline seats are unusable with a ridiculous amount of space between the side lines and the front row. It makes the end zone seats and corner end zones the best which really sucks. On the opposite sideline, the good sideline seats are small in numbers, too far away from the field, and way up high because of the wall.
This is a horrible idea. There is a reason they quit making multi purpose baseball football stadiums. Angles would turn your neck at a weird angle. They are terrible

Still in favor of it. The original article in forum said it would not be UNx because that game had to be played in ND. I don't think this article changes anything except make it crystal clear that this is Twins initiated, which should make it better financially for us since their the ones asking, and says that they get a chance at a warmup game next year to work or some bugs so we don't have to be the first ones to play football there.
Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.
