The number that popped up right away when I googled(college athletics accounting is basically made up though).
Football Revenue: about 42 Million. Expenses: 19.8 Million.
In 2011, Syracuse made about $10 million on men's basketball in the old Big East. I'd assume they are making at least that now or a lot more.

Maybe it'd be better to start by dealing with the lab and classroom capacity on campus before worrying about our basketball and football seating arena.
After all, if you want NDSU in a decent FBS conference, the next logical step is improving the university.
They are going to go with ETFE like U.S. Bank Stadium, which should be cool.
$105 million is just the roof. They are spending $250 million total for renovations. That's a lot to spend on that place.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
The site below lists the Fargo-Valley City market at 115th with 240K TV homes. Add the 164K for western ND (139th largest) and you have a North Dakota market which is the 74th largest similar in size to Spokane, Omaha, and Rochester.

It's OK to not be OK.
the TV market aspect is a total BS talking point for the Anti FBS haters.
the % of people watching NDSU in this market kicks the crap out of a lot of FBS colleges.
if the City of Fargo gave $15 mill & 25 years of no taxes on a building downtown, why cant they do that for NDSU & expand the Fargodome?
or the $20 million city offices
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
