That would also open up some promotional possibilities like family or large group packs.
100%%%% Too many families with young kids who are priced out. That is the future of the fan base. They can't go because it's a $300 day just for tickets for a family of 5.

They are not loosing a million a year because of metal detectors, they are losing a million a year in revenue because of the overall bad experience of waiting in line and missing the intro and freezing in the sub zero weather, and metal detectors play a role in that. Check out the year when attendance started dwindling. Hint: It started after our first regular season of metal detectors in the playoffs.

If you can't acknowledge the experience has gotten worse and a slow line plays a role, you're wearing blinders.

Great idea. Let's lose a million a year in ticket revenue, ignore the issues that contribute to it, and then cut prices. I'm glad you don't play a role in any finances.

I have no idea where you came up with metal detectors costing us a million in ticket sales. Will you PLEASE stop shitting on every single thread even remotely related to fb?

You had to have been raised in Grand Forks and when you moved here you were drug behind the car the whole way.

Me thinks you are the one that is ignoring the issues that contribute to attendance going down. It is quite common, people see what they want to see.

They're making more in ticket revenue now than they ever did in 2011-2015 with constant sellouts because they raised prices. Ticket prices are the main reason attendance is down and lowering ticket prices would be the easiest way to get attendance back up.

2011 was 11 years ago. You need to raise prices 5% a year just to keep up with inflation. Teammakers is making up the difference, and people will stop buying season tickets if you can just buy cheap seats and cut out the donations completely. Maybe cutting the price of nose bleeds would make sense though but season ticket prices need to go up

Speaking of Grand Forks, The Alerus Center is taking it in the ass now because of 2 bad experiences in a row. They had 2 sold shows and people were missing the start of it due to long lines and backed up miles on the interstate. Now they can't even sell out someone like Chris Stapleton, who sells out everywhere in a week. People finally said... fuck this shit, it's not worth spending $200 on a ticket to wait 2 hours to get to the parking lot and then once you get there wait an hour to get it. Then once you get in, spend 45 minutes to pee and then decide not to eat because the show started
