Bowling Green vs Kent St.: 8417 fans watched the Falcons clinch a berth to the MAC Championship game

Same Bowling Green team went to Akron who has a 5 year old stadium that seats 30k and only 10k showed up.

Northern Illinois on their Senior day had a whopping 8400 fans show up to watch one of the winningest programs in all of college football the last 4-5 years.

When NDSU is unable to promote its brand anymore than it has(its coming to that, student interest is failing, lack of big time opponents coming to town, 1 FBS game on the future schedule), we'll start seeing things going the other direction. The options where NDSU is now is so limited, I just don't see why some of you are actually debating this.

FBS games on the schedule generate the most hype. Whether its national media heads who write way more articles on the damned Iowa State win over playoff wins and national championships, perspective from big time school fanbases, coaches & players.. or whatever.

Yea it's cute for the small time folk who get all of their jollies from it, but please, don't spew that crap on in this thread because you have that problem.

If its on national TV...sure why not. I mean could you imagine a nationally ranked team comin to Fargo? that'd be fun. We thought it was cool when NDSU was receiving votes for the AP poll. Wouldn't you want the opportunity to keep that going?

These same people would be tripping over thier boners for a espn2 game vs Illinois or Iowa for a non conference game in our new stadium!!


NDSU has no FBS teams next year to play which is a precursor to us becoming complacent , it's a joke
