As long as we can starting the season in the top 5; which is pretty much a lock; we will be fine. Remember, we have playoffs here. Let's foucs on winning games and not a stupid poll.
I agree with you on this one. We have to keep in mind we have a new head coach, new OC, new DC, new starting QB, at least 2 new guys starting on the O-line, a new starter at FB, a new starter at WR opposite Vraa, 2 new starting D-lineman, odds are a new mixture of LB's getting playing time, new starter at CB opposite Smith, and have to fill the shoes of Shepherd (sp?). For most teams, this year would be a rebuilding year. For us, we're reloading and trying to push these seniors through with 4 straight. I'm happy NDSU is still talked about in the top 5 because a lot of things could go wrong with all these new pieces. I still expect to make the playoffs so anything more than that is icing on the cake for me.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

We'll earn our ranking, unlike the BSC which gets slapped with a high ranking because... Well I don't know why.
If they ranked playoff fails, then I'd rank them high.

TSN is not terribly accurate on picking top 10 teams when you compare their picks to season results. http://thesunnews.typepad.com/coasta...-at-no-25.html

2013 TSN Top Ten FCS Poll Results
    1. North Dakota State Bison (127)
    2. Montana State Bobcats (1)
    3. Sam Houston State Bearkats (5)
    4. Eastern Washington Eagles
    5. Villanova Wildcats
    6. South Dakota State Jackrabbits
    7. Central Arkansas Bears
    8. Wofford Terriers
    9. Georgia Southern Eagles (1)
    10. New Hampshire Wildcats

I dont think beleive any sort of Polls should be released until week 4 or later. Pre-Season polls are just something for people to talk about, and are often wrong. All that matters is what Rick Flair used to say... "To be the Man, you got to beat the MAN!" WOHOOOOOOOOOOO

    absolutely correct.

doesn't it get old when fans of other schools ask why NDSU hasn't moved up?

there is no correct answer for it.

Some on here continue to express some concern about having a new QB. I am not concerned. Remember, the Bison have a true QB coach for the first time since moving to DI. Hedberg made several silk purses out of sow's ears at SIU. He will make Wentz into a 4th round pick in the 2016 draft.

After NDSU beats the crap out of Iowa State maybe some selling points should be made to the Big 12.
