NDSU has been playing at a pretty high level in Division 1 if you take out the 08-09 years. sooooooooooooo sustainability is there.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

hey guys. NDSU's opponent will barely have 500 fans at their first ever national championship.

    Better stay put!

I think the best part of FCS is the playoff environment.... and being able to attend a lot of away games if I so desire (SDSU/USD/UNI) on an annual basis.

but the regular season is so much more intriguing if you have Fresno, CState, SDSU or whoever compared to UNI, USD, ISU-b and Missouri St.
Intriguing? Maybe for the first few years, after that I see a fall-out of fans honestly. NDSU fans are used to playing for something throughout the year, they are used to playing for championships (not that every year will be a championship run, but a championship should always be the goal at the start of the season).

To what point do you start thinking NDSU is just too good for FCS? Some of us are already there...but Yea Frisco is fun, but with the powers moving up...NDSU is going to be in the running every year. Itll get stale. NDSU will be like the NW MO state of FCS.
We've been the best for the past few years. If we're still the best in 5-10 years and have piled on 3-7 more championships then I'll be fully on board with us being too good. For right now we are the best at what we do at this level. Doesn't mean that we will always be king of the mountain.

NDSU basically has to hope a neighboring FCS power(Montana) is on the schedule every year to save face.
I'll give you that our OOC games have been a little boring the past few years. That is largely due to our success and us having to pay FBS rates to FCS schools (or DII) to come here and play. Eventually that *should* level off once we aren't the most dominant force in FCS for a year or two.

Like I said earlier, when the BCS/FBS split happens (and it will) I expect to see the bottom FBS and upper FCS conferences break off and form their own league/subdivision complete with tournament. And NDSU needs to be ready for this and should be planning now for the facilities to accommodate this move.

So, you're saying that the only thing that counts is the regular season and that the best thing you can hope for is a conference championship and that is all the satisfaction you need? Interesting. If the top goal is a conference championship and a shitty bowl is just an add on, count me out.
