I get that. Just cross off the idea of cutting a men's sport or two. NDSU will not be considering that.

Keep in mind when you use the word "match", it's not about the number of sports or even the number of scholarships. It's about resources devoted to programs ($$$$$$$$$). Some people mistakenly believe that only football is different with a move to FBS. Nothing could be further from the truth. Take the MWC for example. I'm quite sure that their coaching staffs for every sport are paid higher than what we are currently paying. Men's sports probably have the large dollar gaps (I'm guessing there).

If every program needs more money to compete and the gaps are greater for men's sports, the Title IX affect is rather drastic.
