(Not give you a bad time Ca. After experiencing the Big 9 for a couple of decades, it was an eye opener to actually understand that Albert Lea was once considered a power)
I understand...and they supplied another tier of players to Concordia, St. Olaf, Minnesota, and other DI programs...from the same team. Something like 12 DI players came from one of their championship teams. I was roommates with two Albert Lea guys early in college. I never heard the end of it.

If you wore the uniform...you're a champion.

Tame/lame.... in the '64-68 era, we had a chant that you couldn't even begin to say today.... (this may get me in trouble - but history is pretty raw some times).... When the opposing players were announced, the crowd, standing, shouted a welcome that went some thing like: "sh*t, f*ck, c*ck su*k, nibble, gobble, chew. We are the mighty Bison. Who the *ell are you?" Not embarrassing then, but now.... yeah, probably over the top. And then the real partying started that made those outdoor winds and temperatures bareable for 4 quarters.

No Cichy at UND. You might be talking about one of the Deutsch boys?

Jay Gustafson died a couple years ago.

Was it KTCO or KHCO? I always thought it was KHCO? Love the history in this thread. Isn't there a book about the building of the program by Dave Klopack? Would love to get my hands on it somehow.
