It is conceivable that Appy was higher earlier in the year, but after they won their third consecutive championship, they had a predictor score of 73.13 (58th). In the composite ranking, they were 44th. (The same one where the Bison are currently 24th.)

Going back to 1998(the earliest date I can find from USA Today), it looks like Villanova has the record so far for highest final Sagarin rating(30 in 2009). NDSU should be able to top that this season if they win out.
