I guess the SHSU coach wasn't kidding when he said the NDSU defense is better than Texas A&M after the last championship game.

This doesn't quite belong in this thread, but it's an AP article and it's tangentially related to NDSU.

Big Ten discourages football teams from playing lower-division schools

Nothing really that we haven't heard before, but now the Big Ten quotes are from after upset weekend. The result is the story and quotes seem to have an odor about them. Something almost bovine. With more than a hint of digestive product.

But maybe that's just me.

Some good quotes in the above USA today article from Coach Bohl about the reality of moving to the FBS (it's a whole helluva lot more than changing a letter.)

"I think before programs move in that direction, you really need to take a look and say, okay, what are the different resources that the program has, how are you positioned, are you really capable of making a move as opposed to changing the letters from 'FCS' to 'FBS.' There needs to be other significant changes as well."
