IMO, the most important thing to know about Team Makers is that the sole reason for its existence is to fund scholarships at NDSU. Everything else is superfluous. This is what you should have known before joining.
Of course, that's just my opinion, here's a link to a FAQ about Team Makers: http://www.gobison.com/pdf8/814856.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=2400
The least important aspect of Team Makers, in my opinion, is doling out perks to members. It is a charity, after all.The Club is responsible for raising the funds necessary to cover the tuition, room and board, books and academic support costs of NDSU’s 350 student-athletes – a bill that is over $2.5 million annually.
A couple posts back Sambini gave an excellent rundown on how Team Makers is governed - one thing is certain: I'll never be involved in running TM because I have no patience with people who join a charity and then start acting like they bought something with their donation.
Anyway, with your Team Maker stuff, there should be a list of when the club meets (used to be on Tuesdays for lunch.) I've never been to a meeting but if you want to know more, that would be the place to start.
The reason why the South half isn't reserved is for those who don't draw reserved permits.
I really hope they keep any reserved tailgaters from "parking" there. If they do, there should be room for quite a few "first come first served" tailgaters.
Hopefully it is $15 per space there too in order to deter "parkers".

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

I realize that...I just won't tailgate anymore if I have to be part of the "first come, first serve" group. It takes all the fun out of the whole experience (at least it did for me).
Like I said, Bison football is about the game for me. The other stuff just isn't that important to me.
Former NDSU intramural athlete.
Tony, That's a bit simplistic---It became more than a charity when they got into the seating business.
Anyway, I have been asking the freaking question for 6 years (how to get involved) All you ever get is contact Simmers----been there done that---- no information). Very frustrating!
I simply want to check it out and see if its worth my time and money----I think my experience and desire to assist brings something to the table, but a guy cant even get an email back. The pisser of TM being run like it is or seems to be, is that NDSU suffers. If I was treated a bit better (you know like given some information and invited to participate, I would probable stoke them the annual $5k+ check, but hey I guess that leaves more for the Shriners. Maybe I am looking at this all wrong---just seems like an odd way to treat those who either can and or offer to contribute.
(BTW--Just to put this into perspective, my Company (partially Owned by 2 other NDSU alum) also gives to SU and we offer internships to SU students...so its not like I am here just for the football tickets)

Where do they meet on Tuesdays for lunch? Besides Simmers who is on these boards
I'm fortunate that I tailgate with a group that is rather large and they take care of getting in line. I really wouldn't tailgate if I had to leave home at 4:00 am in order to be in line. It results in a need to carry a cooler from another parking lot but that's what teenage sons are good for.
Actually, the game is by far more important than anything else. Alcohol is even optional as far as I'm concerned.
I think its clear from the last few years that the lot isn't big enough for the first 3 games but late season when it gets cold , its perfect. Problem is the first 3 games is half the regular season schedule. Giving people the opportunity to tailgate is a way to build long term loyalty. I don't think weve scratched the surface on tailgating. If you look at the overhead shot of homecoming, every single row in the new lot has a majority of motorhomes, tents, or just really big setups. At the RMU game I saw at least 15 Bison wrapped or decked out rigs on the east side and that was just in a small area. With the recent success I think its going to get bigger and bigger.
I talked to Simmers last year after the first game debacle and he just dismissed it as something that will probably never happen. Then I talked to Taylor and he seemed more receptive.

I actually enjoy waiting in line. (As long as i get a spot) In a strange way its kind of fun as there are thousands of fans to talk with. #1 its about the game and #2 its about tailgating but the cupcake games it's probably about even. With tailgating, even if we lose I have a great time with friends . You're guaranteed to go. 500 every week
