That play made the D1 training video the following year as a great example of the type of play that needs to get flagged for a personal foul. Targeting high with your helmet as a weapon. I think they also commented on the taunt after the play. I believe that was the first year they were getting really serious about the illegal helmet contact and the effects of concussions. It had always been mentioned but it became the #1 priority by far.
Indy, do the words "helmet to helmet" appear in the rules? I ask only because that's what the announcers always say but it doesn't appear that's how it's called. You mentioned "targeting high" which would not necessarily need to include the helmet.
