    Thanks Heckler!

So you drove through Junction City. Did you know that this quaint little town was out of your way? Oh well, it still might have been worth it from a tourist's standpoint. After all, that's where Timothy McVeigh's Ryder truck came from. And it also has the largest porn store in Middle America - just outside Ft. Riley's main post gate. The Arby's down by the strip mall is top notch, though. The two-storey stripper pole is definitely something to write home about, as well...

The road construction on Bush Sr.'s highway makes me want to vote for a democrat so badly. Welcome to Texas!

Free ticket in section 112 for anyone.

Was driving to the airport, and my low tire pressure light came on. Was outside of Boone a ways, so limped into town to find a gas station with a air compressor. This would slow me down a bit, but figured I could make up the time as the bears aren't out at that time of night. PSI was at 10 or so, was a bit concerned it was so low, but started filling it up. Tire exploded in my face, and next thing I know I'm on my ass and my ears are ringing. The dude that just finished pumping gas gets out of his car and asks if I"m all right. I tell him my tire exploded, like he didn't already know that but I'm a bit disoriented and in shock I guess. Gas station clerks run out to see what happened. Quite the scene. Aside from ringing ears, and a bit of a headache now, I'm uninjured.

So now I try and put my doughnut of a spare on, and finally get it on. The thing is flat. With much apprehension I grab the air hose and fill the thing up. Not knowing if the doughnut has a slow leak I return home to park my car and drive my pickup to the airport instead. As I'm heading to the house, it hits me when I look at the clock in my car that there is no way in heck I'll make my flight. Don't care about the price of a tire, or the $ I'm out on plane tickets, I'm sick to my stomach that I will miss the game, and who knows when a NC game will come again.

So if anyone wants that ticket PM me, it's free.

As i guy who uses Bush tollway daily i can say thats a rarity. It usually gets "slow" around 7:30am and 5-6pm daily but that usually means 30-40 MPH. if you were at a stand still or bumper to bumper then something was def going on(wreck or some weird construction). sorry you had a bad experience, its normally a very good road

On, man...I'm sorry. I'm glad you're OK, but I feel your disappointment.

Well, this one made the news - last night and this morning. Looks like it'll be an issue all weekend. Pretty much the entire length along the north side is a problem.
