I must say, it is a nice depth chart.

For ghe record, Colvin listed at CB is a Sr next year. He was a member of that glorious 2006 recruiting class.
The kid looks like a heck of an athlete, he should be able to play somewhere no doubt. Especially since he has the same speed as Chris Johnson and Joey Galloway. But, as Sioux fans have been told continuously, the best way to evaluate the talent of a prospect is to look at who else offered. Did he have any other offers to use as a comparison?
Offers are only one way for evaluation. The others are his stat's, smarts, leadership and whatever else the coaches are looking for. Obviously if UNI, SDSU, NDSU, SIU are after a recruit it would give you a fussy warm feeling if you got him. There are other factors as to why a kid has offers or not. Time of the year he committed is a big one. MN has some juniors committed already for 2011, I bet not one has another offer. This kid was hurt much of his junior year so that rating systems didn't have him their sights. Maybe a diamond in the rough maybe not. You can't teach speed. Siouxfan you have a LB from AZ that runs a 4.85 and all your guys over at ss.com are jumping for joy.

There are two Colvins. You are referring to Derrius Colvin.
The new recruit is Zach Colvin, 5-9, 152, Superior, WI, DB/KR 8/9/2009 WisSports.net

Dan, you say here that offers are only one way for evaluation. In the attached thread, you say the rule of thumb for recruiting is how many offers he has had. Which is it? Which ever one works with your argument at the time? But, I'm not here to get in a pissing match - just curious what the final verdict is.

I would be willing to compare NDSU's class with UND's if anyone would be willing to compete. But, UND fans don't want to talk specifics. They trust Muss as a talent evaluator.

7-7 this year. Again. Win a recruting battle against ANYONE and we will talk.

Take it easy. The question he asked has nothing to do with your overall class integrity. Everyone knows your class is better than UND’s.

You have a good thread going here, no reason to muddle it with smack.

I have no doubt that on paper NDSU's class is superior to UND's as it stands. That was not where I was going. I will now bow out of the discussion, because you guys do have a really good recruiting thread. Just wanted to point out a flaw with Dan's reasoning.
