Hardie was named first-team all-state as a DE this season and he was credited with 62 tackles and 9 sacks for a 9-3 team. He also plays basketball and played last summer with a very good Dakota Schoolers AAU team where his teammates included Cody Larson (Iowa signee), Zach Horstmann (SDSU commit for 2011) and Trevor Gruis (USD signee). He broke his foot in his last football team, and just returned to action for the O'Gorman basketball team on 12/29. The basketball team lists him as 6'5".
I agree that 227 sounds better than 205.

Here are some numbers for a past Bison DE that was pretty good.

    Taken from the 2004-2008 rosters.

2004 Joe Lardinois 6'4" 212 lb. New Franken WS (Notre Dame Academy)
    2005 Joe Lardinois 6'4" 229 lb.
    2006 Joe Lardinois 6'4" 250 lb.
    2007 Joe Lardinois 6'4" 250 lb.
    2008 Joe Lardinois 6'4" 260 lb.

So, Husker, do you like this kid?

He's also a two-time defending state wrestling champ. Seems like a good candidate for a fullback or linebacker.

The article doesn't give me enough confidence to put him on the recruiting summary yet - there are just too many cases of mistaken identity.
