Fred Jackson now has Stanford and UCLA listed as having some interest. The heavy hitters are now showing up. I suppose we'll have to beat them down too. sigh....

I see that Southern Utah has a few transfers coming in from Snow College. Did someone get a tip on Chad Wilson?

    Default Mike Hardie

Ever since the reported commitment of Mike Hardie, I've been a little concerned that he is under-sized at 205 for a DE. Interestingly, the Forum article linked above put his weight at 220 lb. He was actually listed on the O'Gorman roster this season as 6'4" 227 lb--not so small!

Hardie was named first-team all-state as a DE this season and he was credited with 62 tackles and 9 sacks for a 9-3 team. He also plays basketball and played last summer with a very good Dakota Schoolers AAU team where his teammates included Cody Larson (Iowa signee), Zach Horstmann (SDSU commit for 2011) and Trevor Gruis (USD signee). He broke his foot in his last football team, and just returned to action for the O'Gorman basketball team on 12/29. The basketball team lists him as 6'5".

Hardie is #85 in green below.

No kidding. O'Gorman used to have one of the classiest football uniforms in the state. Of course I can't find a decent pic, but their home jersey's were blue with white shoulder pads and their roads (see below) where a reverse of that.
    Don't matter. FIVE-PEAT!

At least it isn't quite as cold as a few days ago.

Has anyone seen Ryan Smith play who could comment on if he could play corner? Now that we have Allen and the two WR's it makes me wonder. Of course if Jackson makes the right decision it doesn't matter as much.
This is no slam on Ryan Smith, but he is a much better RB than a CB. Even saying that he could have been All State at a CB, but at 5'8"? that's on the small side for FCS CB's I would hope.

This is just too good. Exactly what NDSU fans have been saying. Now even Coach Stig is feeling worried about recruiting. Read what people are now saying. Guy just went to the playoffs and is struggling with recruiting.

Too slow coach. Kids want to feel wanted in the recruiting process. That is just the way it is. He is going to recruit out of region after NDSU took the region away from him.

I am sure SDSU fans will come on here and sell us another story, but it looks pretty clear to me.

I'm not a recruiter but I'm guessing if a coach only has 12 or 13 scholorships he's not just going to go throwing those around and offering to anyone. I'm sure SDSU missed out on some recruits they wanted but so did we. Last time I checked there wasn't only 22 players or however many commitments we have in the region. I'm not a fan of SDSU but of all the coaches we face I have more respect for Stig than any other. I'm sure they will be ok. Sorry for the rant but I have a hard time laughing at the recruiting of a team that has beaten us 3 times in a row and came from having no where near the team we had to being a team that has surpassed us in terms of success over the last 5 years.
