Back to recruiting. Here is a very good athlete that we are looking at to be a kicker.

A starter on the gridiron since his freshman season, Mitteis has been much more than just a kicker over the past four years. As a senior in 2009, he passed for approximately 700 yards and eight touchdowns as a quarterback and added another five scores on the ground. He earned first-team Class B all-state honors as a defensive back after pulling in two interceptions.

As a kicker, he was successful on six out ten field goal attempts in 2009 (with a long of 43 yards) and 34 out of 35 extra points. He was named a first-team all-state kicker by Huskerland Preps.

"I'm mostly being recruited as a kicker but some schools want me to play both kicker and defensive back," Mitteis said. "I'm very accurate from 40 to 45 yards in but I am capable of kicking 50 yards. I've kicked a 55-yarder in practice."

"I'm really trying to decide what sport I want to play in college. Basketball is probably my first love as a sport but it would be hard to give up football. Plus, right now, I'm getting more interest in football."

As a shooting guard on the hardwood, Mitteis earned second-team (Class B) all-state honors as a junior, averaging a Class B best 20.4 points per game. Through seven games this winter, he's averaging 21 points and five rebounds a contest.

Wilson was one of six preseason HM All-American LBs at JCfootball.com (a Scout.com site) meaning he was projected as a top 20 JC linebacker in the country.

It looks like he had an excellent season. He was named conference defensive player of the week and he was co-MVP of his team's post-season game. Good pickup!

And yes, Steve Hallstrom is the bomb!

Another very good player coming on board. On paper this might be the best recruiting class we have ever had.

    Found this about Allen...

    Jason Jewell, West Region
My first is senior RB Michael Allen from national power Chandler (Az.) Hamilton. Allen's father passed away the same week Allen and Hamilton were playing in the state championship versus Mesa High. allen palyed despite the loss of his father and fueled Hamilton to a 35-0 win over the Jackrabbits. On the night he carried the ball 20 times for 107 yards. The 5-10 180 pound Allen has an offer from North Dakota State.

Hamilton High School always is good and produces some very good players. Allen split time with another very good running back who has D1 offers as well and put up some very good numbers. Maybe a pipeling can be built with this school and pull a few good players every year from there. Wouldn't mind getting their Jr. OL Christian Westerman who already has over 20 D1 offers already.

I read the ESPN article and it stated he was only 16. If that is right then even if he has a birthday before he enrolls, he is going to be a very young freshman. In my opinion that means his potential could be very high!

Another really solid running back from the sounds of it. Man are we ever loaded at that position for the next how many years. They just keep coming. This kid might not even see the field for three years.
