I don't know that there's really a need. I'm not sure what UNI puts on their board but the general rule is that if I can't find a link to back up some recruiting news, it doesn't make the board.

If, in the future, we have a lot of "I heard from a very good source that x is being recruited", then maybe we'll look into it. We just don't have many posts like that and, frankly, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable hosting them. The only exception we've made in the last several years is for North Dakota kids since somebody on the board is bound to be related to them or friends of their family.

    Default Carlton Littlejohn

This is the kid I was referring to recently when I quoted Yoda ("there is another"):

    Love this description:

    Carlton Littlejohn - Minneapolis North

Minneapolis North senior Carlton Littlejohn was a three-year starter for the Polars and considered by some the best player in the Minneapolis City Conference. The senior finished with five interceptions this fall and 11 in his career. Not only is Carlton a ball hawk, but also a solid tackler. He's 6-2 200 pounds and finished with 75 tackles this fall. But he played both ways, and on offense the North quarterback amassed over 1880 yards and scored 29 touchdowns in leading the Polars to a 9-3 record and a berth in the State 3A quarterfinals.

    Max Busher to Northern Iowa

I was receiving interest from Minnesota and Wyoming but I was not offered a scholarship," said Busher. "Minnesota offered a walk-on (position).

"I received offers from the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, the University of South Dakota, University of Northern Iowa, and the Air Force Academy. South Dakota State also offered an official visit. I recently just committed to Northern Iowa."

Hmm, what should I do with this one? Steve Hallstrom did some digging (talked to his coach) and came away with the impression that NDSU wasn't offering.

I'm leaning toward putting him in "The offered but went elsewhere" list because Steve said the text was "NDSU is out of the picture" which, to me, doesn't necessarily mean that NDSU didn't offer. What do you think?

Not sure how I missed this on the Bison Media Blog but it had a link to this story.

Jesse Hinz, NDSU commit, had 4 pins in a tourney - total time: 175 seconds. Holy carp!

Updated List based on Kermit's link to the Bison Media Blog:
    • Added Carlton Littlejohn to the "OFFERED" list
    • Moved Chad Gilson to the "SOME RECRUITING SITES REPORT OFFERS, HALLSTROM'S RESEARCH SAID NO" list

The recruiting summary has Hinz listed as a OL/DL. Does anyone know what position the coaches have tentatively pegged him at?

I assume OL since Burgundy says that the Bison have gotten their top 5 OL prospects, but the fact that Hinz is a wrestler makes me think he would be a great DL. A number of the best DL and HOF Bison were wrestlers in HS.

His coach said he was recruited for OL.

Saw Hallstrom found another LB recruit from Snow (Utah) JC in Chad Wilson.
