down south is where we need to get some athleticism. up here, you're just not going to get a lot of athletic talent

Down south is where the great athletes from down there stay. We get the leftovers, which haven't proven to be better than the quality we have up here in the Midwest. If no southern schools are offering, maybe there is a reason for that.

    Updates:
    • Added Christian Dudzik to the Committed list (watch his highlights - in some of them he looks insanely quick)
    • Added Jordan Rodgers to the Offered but Committed Elsewhere list.

I probably missed something along the way, but why would Marcus Williams have to be listed among this years class. He is listed in this years program as a FR DB from Minnetonka. Didn't he receive a scholarship this year? Just asking.

He is not on scholarship these year. He may be considered a Grayshirt. Here is what was reported by Hallstrom.

"Can also tell you that Marcus Williams has told Bison coaches that he intends to join the team next season. He is paying for this year of school on his own, but has access to the team academic support staff and strength coaches. He cannot participate in any team activities or spring drills. He was an "academic situation" coming to NDSU in the fall but word is he's making progress and expects to be eligible after spring semester. He is projected at DB, and I'd expect him to start fall camp in the cornerback group, then possibly get a look at safety as he learns the defense. If you add him into the commitments, that's a group of 19 newcomers in the fall."

Tony, is Michael Allen, RB from Chandler, AZ worth adding to the offer list? Rivals says he was offered and I think either Hallstrom or Kolpack confirmed it on the media blog.

There are a few others listed as well by Rivals as having offers from NDSU:

Also, Fred Blow, CB from Humble, TX.

    Lechein Neblett, WR, Madison, WI

I'm trying to figure out what positions are still being recruited. Was Beck (from Langdon) recruited as a safety or an OLB?

If we have 5 scholarships left:
    K-we know we need one
    CB-Dixon or Blow
    WR-Vraa
    OLB-Berry or Gilson
    ILB-Olson
    RB-Allen

We might not end up with these guys, but the positions are what I'm curious about. Which spot above isn't going to get one?
