I don't know where this all got started and I did not hear Mierkourt or some TV interview but rest assured Trevor Gebhart is not going to SDSU or USD. Trevor made his commitment to NDSU and that is where he is going. In fact he will be there DEC.12th for his official visit.

Seems like someone may have a personal tie and know exactly what they are talking about. Thanks for clearing that up.

Blame the questioning on Stu. He's always trying to stir the pot and cause controversy, while still managing to write poor articles and take shots at everyone he can.

Especially since all of SiouxFallsBison's posts talk about Trevor Gebhardt, it would seem that they would be in the know.

Just wanted to say I'm sorry for any misinformation I may have started on the board, just pointing out some things I had heard/read from guys in the Sioux Falls media and looking back on it I wish I would have just kept it to myself. I am not an investigative reporter and shouldn't try to play one on the internet, lesson learned. From now on I'll stick to things l know, which is good news for most since that is rather limited.

    Howdy!

Now that we know who you are, due to NCAA regulations, nobody on Bisonville should initiate any contact with you and if you have any questions about the Athletic Department, we are supposed to refer them to NDSU's athletic department. So if we seem a little standoffish, it's because we don't want to do anything to jeapordize Trevor's eligibility.

Youd didn't do anything. T-vac throw that out into the public. I'm surprised I didn't catch it. I read the Argus almost every day.
    Don't matter. FIVE-PEAT!

Now your mat has no use. Too bad. Have to wait for the next internet rumor to bust that thing out.

Tony, when you say initiate, can we still respond to his posts?

Safest not to - at least not until next fall. Topics outside of athletics and NDSU are probably OK as long as it has nothing to even remotely to do with trying to influence somebody's decision (and just about every Bison fan on this board would be considered a booster by the NCAA.)

    From NDSU's brochure:

    Q. Can a representative of athletics interest (booster) be involved when a prospect is on an official or unofficial visit?

    A. NO. Boosters are precluded from all recruiting activities, including face-to-face contacts with a prospect or his/her relatives
    at any time.

    Q. Can boosters contact prospects to encourage them to attend NDSU?
    A. NO. Any such contact could result in the prospect being declared ineligible to participate in athletics at NDSU.

    Q. May a booster engage in evaluation activities on behalf of the institution?
    A. A booster may view a prospect.s contest on his/her own initiative, provided no contact is made with the prospect or his/ her family. However, this evaluation

may not take place at the request or direction of an NDSU staff member and a booster is not permitted to contact anyone associate with the prospect in an effort to evaluate him/her.

    Q. May a booster attend a public event (e.g., high school awards banquet or dinner) at which prospects are in attendance?
    A. Yes. However, contact with prospects or their families may not occur, and no attempt can be made to recruit the prospect.

NDSU's brochure, however, doesn't say what a booster should do if they run into a prospect's family at a game or message board. Purdue tells their boosters this:

If conversation is initiated with the booster, respond in a civil manner but do not discuss the Purdue Athletics Program with them. If they ask questions about the program, remind them that the NCAA prohibits a booster from discussing the program with them. Encourage the family to contact the Purdue Athletic Department directly.
