What redshirt kids will make an impact next season? What position needs to be recruited the hardest (Linebacker)?
Here's a couple things I've heard, but not much detail to add.

Our redshirt fullback Lang is playing some scout team running back and I was told he's doing pretty well. He was a walk-on and I don't know alot about him, but he will add depth to an already deep position. Probably won't see any first team action with the guys ahead of him and all.

And our WR, the tall guy from Cali, I heard is playing well. He moves well and catches the ball! Wouldn't be suprised to see him start, I get the feeling he will.

And one more thing; did anyone notice the play of Brock Gion last saturday? He blocked the punt and made a special teams tackle immediately afterwards. He's another walk-on from Mott-Regent. Maybe he has a bright future in green and gold

Has anyone heard of any possible position changes? It seems to me Grothmann would make a heck of a LB. I think we are set at FB for the next few years.

Pierz is led by 6'7" 308 lb Dylan Peterson,

3,200 yards on the ground and over 40 rushing td's for Pierz.

thats my neck of the woods, and I was told he will be playing at NDSU next year.

Badlands, thanks for the info on Brock Gion. Was wondering who he was when I heard his name for the first time on Saturday. Nice to see guys with some fire to play football come from nowhere and make the team. Congrats to Brock!

I could see Grothmann maybe getting a look at LB...with the lack of depth there, and with 6 FB's on the roster it wouldnt surprise me at all.

Not sure if NDSU is actively pursueing this guy, but QB/Athlete Justin Sinz out of Wisc. picked up an offer from Purdue, to go along with the ILL St. offer he has held.

"I went to Northern Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, North Dakota State. Going to all those schools I kind of had a top three in my mind. I chose North Dakota State, Northern Illinois and Minnesota. When I went to NDSU I just felt something. I just liked the town I liked everything there."
