You know what Oldbison? You are getting OLD. I see you are going after Coach Bohl AGAIN on areavoices. WE GET IT. I don't understand how many different times you could say the same thing....you have mapped out how you think he is the worst coach in America and can't recruit.

Is there anything fresh you would like to add to the board? Anything?

Some people, like myself are very positive. I am holding to it that we have a fantastic group of freshman/redshirt freshman. I know you will say "time will tell" and I agree with that.

It just gets old seeing you pretend to be a diehard oldschool Bison fan but continually rip on the lack of talent and a poor coaching staff.

Send me a PM again if you want to discuss in private. I would be happy to discuss some of the reasons that I think we are struggling....professionally. (Staff continually changing/defections).
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

I've been paying close attention to football recruiting these past couple years, as my son's going through the process, and I haven't heard of any other FCS teams having so many verbal commitments as NDSU has right now.

This tells me that the coaches are working hard and getting young men to believe in their program earlier than other staff. I think coaching staff continuity is a big key in winning consistently.

By the way, I agree with Mr. Burgandy.

Losing coaches every year has got to be rough on recruiting. I think we had an excellent class last year, but most would agree that on signing day we were short in two main areas: LB and CB and some would say OL should have had another guy or two. How hard would it be to say, "come to NDSU, we don't know who your defensive coordinator or position coach will be, but trust me....he'll be a good one." We need consistency to not have recruiting holes. It was a big deal to get two CB's over the summer.

Eric Oertel, one of NDSU's offers at LB, gave Washington State a verbal.

I personally think that we did ok for DB's...I do believe that we got a pretty damn good CB in Pierre, the kid has been getting better and better as the year has gone on, just what you want to see from a true freshman pushed into starting lineup. Gatlin from NDSCS has been injured for a good chunk of the season so we haven't been able to see what he can do. Ollman, playing and not getting redshirted, although playing almost only on special teams, but it says alot about his athletic ability to play as a true freshman. And don't forget about Marcus Williams, even though he hasen't stepped on the field yet, his size and athletic ability will be a welcome sight at CB.

LB is a MUST in this year...the coaches need to go out and wave the LB's depth chart in front of a few LB's who are considering something along the line of a MAC or another lower level FBS school, come here and compete for a starting job right away. Need to get a good group of OL this year, and a solid group of DT's.

I agree that Pierre and Williams were both nice additions. But both of them came on board in the summer after signing day. Good work by the coaches once they came on board. They filled a hole. (I know Williams was talked to before, but he still had to commit...and he did.)
