There might be something said about taking your time to vet your recruits as much as you can rather than casting offers out across the Midwest or taking flyers on great athletes/players with somewhat questionable character. SDSU has had their problems with this too in the past, and it seems Stig has moved away from making these offers the past few years.
Another BS post - Every FBS or FCS team loves early commits, if the kid is what you want why wouldn't you go for it. Most of our early commits have been to our summer FB camp so the coaches know them well. Every FCS team will have depth issues if you lose enough players at that position. How would SDSU do if it lost it's 3 starting LB? Depth at that position?

We will lose 3 of our top 4 linebackers next season, but all anybody's heard is how good the underclassmen at that position are and how they just have to wait in line for their turn. We'll find out next year if they have what it takes.

Now take your backups next year and have them get hurt and you will be in the same situation we are in this year.

Remember, it depends on the nature of the injury. If one of these linebackers sustains a moderate concussion in the first half of one of their games, (*cough, cough, '08 Bison game....cough, cough*) he'll certainly be back on the field after halftime. That tactic gives new meaning to the phrase......"Wow!...what a play! That kid is absolutely unconscious out there.

We will actually be going into next year with 8 LB's that could all play and none of them are walk-ons. The Bison had only 5 LB's this season that they could trust and one of them is a true freshman.

OK I'll believe you that your 6, 7 and 8th LBers could step in and play everydown and you wouldn't see a major drop off.

There would be a drop-off in the fact that they would be redshirt freshman, but at least we wouldn't have use a RB or a true freshman at the position.

Ok, we get it. Jacks have more linebackers than NDSU. Now that you've heard what you wanted to hear you can quit filling up our recruiting summary.

Yep, if Vraa had made up his mind, he'd be in the Verbal list not the Offer.

Did the house-cleaning (moved posts to the main recruiting thread) and added some guys to the Offer and Interest list.

    Offer: JUCO QB Jordan Rodgers
    Interest: OL Nate Gibson

Sorry I was so late with those.
