Remember Jarrett Crittenton?

A friend of mine and I were having a beer yesterday and he commented that the Bison have really had less than stellar defense line play the last 6 quarters. He made an off hand comment like "we sure could have used that kid from Wahpeton Science."

If you recall this all world DE the Bison were recruiting from NDSCS, orginally a Clemson recruit but was academically ineligible after HS and after he did his JUCO tour, went to Middle Tennessee State so he could play closer to home. He is on the roster as #45:

The Blue Raiders are 1-3 so far this year and according to their defensive stats he hasn't recorded a tackle or any other kind of activity. I don't know if he is injured, red-shirted or simply not playing:

He apparently was doing well in camp, at least up until the second scrimmage:

However, he did not play in the first game:

So, I don't know what has happened to this kid. The most interesting piece of information I found was that MTS has only 71 scholarships. I wonder if Crittenton even got one. The bottom line, I can find no evidence that he would have helped us this year.

Digging up a ghost of a name and thread for that matter

Just watching the Middle Tennessee St. Troy game and remembered this name so I was looking for him and seen he wasn't playing. Headed to their team site and found he tore his ACL in April and was expected to be out 6-8 months. He would have been a real helper for NDSU
