Looks like NDSU hasn't offered the South Dakota QB, Austin Sumner, yet. According to this article, NDSU is going down for a visit though so that might change.

    Izzy,
Coach Bohl flew up Friday for the Langdon Homecoming game against Park River/Fordville/Lankin,etc. I talked to him for a bit but I never asked him who he was looking at (why would he tell me anyway?). I'm guessing that, if there is interest in a Langdon/Munich Linebacker, it would be Travis Beck.

Very good athlete. His older brother walked on and made the team at UND. don't know if he is still playing though. In addition to linebacker, he is also the fullback on offense. Excellent speed, shifty and can run over people when he carries the ball. Good hands catching the ball out of the backfield.

His backfield mate is John Dinius. There might be a couple kids in the state who are as fast as him. Only a couple though. I believe he qualified for four events at State Track meet and placed high in all of them. Over 1,000 yards rushing through four games. He will play somewhere if he wants to keep playing football. Maybe a DAC school as he is like 5-8 155. Does not go down easily. You have to wrap up. Compares a bit to a Weston Dressler. Obviously, not quite as fast but still a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

I think the Crockett kid is a Junior. Not 100% sure. He isn't very big either but is a guy who always seems to be in the right places on defense. He's a QB on offense. Hasn't shown anything yet that indicates D1 ability.

Coach DeLabarre has things going the right way up here. 4-0 right now with some tough games ahead. Some very good skill players and couple big linemen but overall not the numbers to really shine.

    De LaSalle's Evan Williams

This summer Williams spent a lot of time at different campuses showing off his skills. He went to camps at Iowa, Iowa State, Wyoming, Northern Illinois and North Dakota State.

"Right now I have one offer to Wyoming," said Williams. "I have to take a visit down to Northern Iowa. They said they have an offer waiting for me so I am pretty sure they will give me that. From there the schools that are recruiting me hard are Wisconsin, Iowa State and NDSU. Those are my top five schools."

Thanks. Great summary. I don't know why I said Lorenz?! Popular Langdon name, I guess. But, yes, it was Beck that I was thinking of. Dylan Crockett had an uncle that was a fierce football player and back in the day had a Major League Baseball tryout.

One thing I don't pretend to be is a judge of who is capable of playing D1 football. Both Beck and Dinius have shown the physical skills to contribute to any teams at the NAIA or DII level. Used properly, are they FCS caliber? I have no idea.

As for Crockett, he's a junior. Like his Uncle, very competitive. Not very big.

I see his brother is a WR at UNI, and Turner has an offer there among many. He would be a great get, but this feels like a long shot.

I don't think he's a longshot. Pretty much think that UNI is the big competition there. NDSU might have an advantage because the coaches were recruiting him so early (Turner was on the very first list of Bison recruits that TCBisonFan put together in early July and NDSU's offer was reported on July 28th). Of course, being superstitious, I get worried when Lakes starts hyping a recruit.

Don't know if this has been posted yet.

List, according to rivals, who we have interest in. We have offered a three star QB out fo Arizona I guess.

And Trevor Gebhart, our WR commit outa Sioux Falls, is rated a 2 star.
