Found these quotes in Ed Kolpack's book when researching QB recruiting

Chris Simdorn, QB for NDSU 1987-1990:
They [NDSU] were straightforward and honest with me. They didn't come in and tell me you're going to play next season. They told me from the outset that I'm going to have to work for everything I get... Other schools said we can do this for you and we can do that. Other schools said negative things about NDSU.
Amazing how some things remain the same.

Mr. Burgundy posted that 2 other ND kids have offers from the Bison: Red River LB Tyler Gefroh, and Langdon LB Travis Beck. http://www.bisonville.com/forum/show...557#post287557

There has been conversation about Bismarck High QB/S Esley Thornton, but no solid indication that he is being recruited by NDSU.

    From the Nevada Prep Report....

Keorris Berry Desert Pines 5'10 220
    4.62 40 4.13 shuttle 34 vj 18 reps
    85 tackles 10 sacks

Built more like a power running back with the speed as well, Berry is a player that is a force off the edge who is equally adept as a pass rusher and pass defender.
As a player, Berry is a player that could play safety, linebacker, fullback or tailback on the next level. He is a very powerful player with outstanding closing speed and has been a standout on the track for Desert Pines. He also is a weapon versus the run that shows great instincts and he has great upper body strength. With good hips and great tackling ability, Berry is a very multi-dimensional player who plays with a high motor.
Berry has an offer from North Dakota State but some teams have been scared off with him lacking prototype size. Berry is a player that should be a great player on any level and he is a kid with great leadership ability.
If his team's offense comes around, Berry should be in the running for Defensive MVP this season.

Austin Sumner, the outstanding QB from Brandon Valley, SD lists NDSU as one of his four finalists.

    http://www.keloland.com/sports/NewsD...3.cfm?Id=88953

Last season, Brandon Valley quarterback Austin Sumner threw for more than 3,300 yards, 32 touchdowns and only seven picks. And, on top of that, he was named first-team All-State. Now, entering his senior season, the 6'5", 215-pound Sumner is without a doubt the best quarterback in the South Dakota..

Sumner plans to wait until after the season is over to decide on a college. He will be going Division I though. South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Iowa State, and Wisconsin are his four finalists..
