I already said I hadn't seen him play and was just going off of the numbers on the page. But lets face it, putting up numbers in Lisbon is a lot different than putting up numbers at Mater Dei, etc. Also, just because UNI is "recruiting" him, doesn't mean they have offered, or anything like that. Besides, they could be recruiting him for something other than RB.

NDSU recruiting Minneapolis (MN) De La Salle Running Back Evan Williams

Williams rushed for over 1800 yards and scored 27 touchdowns as a junior, .

Williams will be attending a number of summer camps. They include: Wyoming, Iowa, Iowa State, North Dakota State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. He also mentioned possibly adding Alabama and UCLA to that list.

Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

Winona Cotter is the school that sent standout QB Thomas O'Brien to SDSU 2 years ago.

According to EdgyTim, NDSU has offered Matt Perez, a 5'10, 200lb running back from Park Ridge (Maine South), Illinois.

Here is what I found on this guy. Sounds talented and may not put up huge numbers so maybe he'll be a little under the radar. His team's offense is mostly passing.

He’s a great backfield complement to another speedster, junior running back Matt Perez, who is making a name for himself in his first season at the varsity level.

“He’s our strongest guy, forget about pound-for-pound,” Inserra said. “He’s our best running back ever, and he’s only played seven games for us.”

Inserra likened the 6-0, 197 pound running back to former Wheaton Warrenville South star running back Dan Dierking, who was a two time All-State player for the Tigers before heading to Purdue. In fact, Inserra thinks Perez is ahead of his pace.

“I think he’s far ahead of Dierking,” Inserra said.

Perez has been somewhat limited statistically, given that most of Maine South’s victories have been blowouts. Inserra’s preference to use a pass-friendly, one-back system has also limited his touches.

WISSPORTS has put out its 2010 Wisconsin football player rankings. Marlin Lee does a great job compiling and reporting on WI prospects.

Quite a few players listed indicate having interest from NDSU. My guess is a couple prospects are being slow played by schools because of qualifying questions concerning academics. My guess is you'll see some moving around of players if/when those questions are answered.

Interesting. That list is completely dominated by OL/DL.
