Bruhn is a stud. My contact down in Nebraska has said we were on him early and he was just waiting to see if he would get a Big 12 offer. it didn't come. STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds like he may play Linebacker for us.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

I wonder if we are showing Bruhn's teammate at Beatrice any love? The Coleman kid has speed to burn. I don't know what position he projects to but I would guess WR and as a return specialist. Beatrice also has as JR DT that is getting some looks from big schools (NU, OU, etc).

I saw that he was getting some interest from Big 12 schools over on Rivals, tough to tell how much from a site like that, but sounds like he is another we can add to the list that we "Stole" from FBS...

    My rough math:

14 verbals to date. Not positive if that is totally accurate.

2 transfers (kicker transfering too from FBS)...so that will be 3 transfers.

Greg Reid and Offerman coming back after sitting out last year with issues from the clearinghouse.

This is a GREAT group of athletes. Still waiting on a couple of skill position players.

I live less than a mile from Champlin Park High School, so I strolled over for a few games this year. Van Voorhis was pretty quick, but he really didn't stand out to me and I was surprised when he made the all-Metro first team. I'm not saying he's not good, just saying I really wasn't thinking NDSU type talent. Was quick and fast, but so were others around him. But I'm not a scout and coaches would know quite a bit more than me.

One note for next year - Champlin Park's running back, a junior named Brandon Marquart, was really good and it will be interesting to see what happens with him next year, as he's a little on the smaller side (5'9, 180).

I wouldn't say that we "stole" him from FBS. He didn't want to walk-on at NU or KU. About the only positive that has come about from the troubles with the economy is that it becomes more difficult for NU and other schools with strong walk-on programs to get kids to do that. Plus, NU took about 30 walk-ons last year, some of which they are very high on and that played this past season. With that said, Bruhn is a tough kid that from what I've heard works has ass off. Definitely two things I would want in a LB or FB.

The Van Voorhis kid must be the son of Tom Van Voorhis. Tom was a captin of the 86 Bisom that came back from the dead, backed into the playoffs and won a championship. They really had a hard time getting used to Earl as their head coach. The Van Voorhis kid should have some coaching skills. Just what you need in a safety.

Here are the top uncommitted prospects in Michigan:

I doubt NDSU has contacted this student but he's an interesting case: Hersey Jackson, RB, Allendale, 6', 215. As you can see in the article he rushed for 4000 yards and 59 TDs in his HS career before rupturing his Achilles at the beginning of his senior year. He also won the 100 meter title as a junior and is academically qualified.

    Also mentions AJ.
