I think this kid has an amazing future for us. How good are our DE's going to be??? WOW. Great job by the coaches. You can tell they have an affect on these kids.

Chilton TE/DE Justin Juckem (6-foot-5, 245) has received scholarship offers from coast to coast. From Washington State to Boston College and places in between.

This week he sat down and evaluated everything each school had to offer and came to a conclusion. "I verbally commited to North Dakota State University. It simply was the best fit."

That was music to the ears of the Bison coaching staff. "The coaches were very pleased to hear I would become one of them especially with all the other close offers."

Juckem was quick to return the appreciation. "The biggest reason I want to be a Bison is because of the coaches. They are very personable and have shown people that they can win and be successful."

So how tough was it turning down offers from some BCS schools? "Obiviously Boston College and Washington State are two big offers, but I took a lot of time in trying to see myself going to each school and NDSU seemed right. If I were to go to Boston College, I would have to get my degree through MIT or Harvard and Washington State I beleive needs to still get on the winning track. With saying that, all the schools that offered are perfect schools, it all depends on the person that has chosen to go there."

Juckem also turned down offers from Army and the University of North Dakota.

My wife has several brothers that live in the Marshall area, and they save Gimmestad is a top notch player. My nephew plays basketball for Southwest State at Marshall, and he used to play football too. I want to talk to him and see what he has to say about Tyler, but it's finals week, so I don't want to bug him now.

Have we made some progress with our QB recruits? Like official visits or anything?

Osseo QB Tate Chistopherson..... is where my money is going..

    Mertens 2009
    Jose 2010-12
incoming qb, RS 2009, back up 3 years?? really doubt a STAR is going to want to only play 1 year...

    p.s on Nicholas Hill-milwaukee.
With such a great visit behind him, might a commitment to the Bison be looming?

“I still want to see what I can get,” Hill said. “I'm taking all of my visits. I'm still trying to set them up. I'm planning on St. Cloud State and Concordia-St. Paul maybe.”

REALLY PEOPLE??? SCSU and CSP??? THATS NOT EVEN A CONTEST, IM NOT TOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS KID....
