I spent some time looking at Rivals and since we seem to be a bit thin next year at OL I concentrated on those. What I liked seeing are two star guys like Hank Jacobs, 6'4" 275 lbs listing NDSU along with Army, Iowa, Miami-OH, N. Illinois, Vanderbilt, W Michigan and Wisconsin as the teams he is interested in. There was only one FCS school and NDSU was it. I like that!

Another area we need an influx of talent, I think, is at WR. In MN it seems Derrick Engel is a hot WR prospect, 6'2", 170 lbs, runs a 4.4 40. NDSU and UND listed as well as a bunch of FBS teams.

The St Cloud Times just had their all area team in the paper the other day. Only saw one player mentioned to being recruited by NDSU, but it seems like he's a real good one:
    Kris Olson, Foley

Also, if we are looking for any kickers, Shion Lanz of Sauk Rapids seemed like he had a solid season, even setting some school records.

    Here are the player profiles:

    http://www.sctimes.com/article/20081...111280006/1020

    SHION LANZ

    KICKER, SAUK RAPIDS

Sr., 5-8, 150 ... Ninety percent of his kickoffs ended up in the end zone ... Set school record with 45-yard field goal against Apollo ... Averaged 55.65 yards per kick off ... Made 35 of 37 of extra-point attempts ... College prospect.

    DEFENSE

    kris olson

    defensive lineman, foley

Sr., 6-4, 205 ... All-state nominee whose versatility made him a huge asset ... Played defensive end, nose tackle, tight end, fullback and wide receiver ... Had 41 tackles, including 19 solos, three tackles for loss, ... Also had 39 knockdown blocks and caught 14 passes for 365 yards ... Being recruited by North Dakota State, Minnesota-Duluth and Yale.

Looks like we offered Hank Jacobs 6-5 285lbs OL from Wisconsin. To bad his visit was to the most dead dome he could have came to see.

Nice find BisonFANatic. Looks like this guy is already wearing the right colors. Also love this kids size....6-5 and 285. Who knows by the time he puts in a couple years of weight training he could end up playing at 6-6 and 310.

This might sound petty, but that snapshot (and without seeing video) makes the kid look pretty athletic. I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes a high school O-Lineman of that size looks like a sloth, but it appears this kid is gonna "get after it" when the ball is snapped.
    Hope we get him.

Another visit planned by a Wisconsin recruit as reported in the Bison Media Blog as follows.

The first Monday following Thanksgiving should have some sort of nickname to it for FCS programs. It's when recruiting really starts to get hot.

NDSU is among the final three for tight end/defensive end Justin Juckem from Chilton, Wis., according to Rivals.com. Juckem visited Washington State and also lists Boston College as his top three. Not bad company.

Bison coaches are set for a home visit this week for the 6-5, 245-pound Juckem and he said he plans on making a decision perhaps this week.

It was a few weeks ago when Boston College offered Juckem. I thought he would verbal to them right away.
