Wentz from Century is a good get. I watched him play against Minot this year, and the Magi had their hands full with him.

Hehe, I heard the interview on 740 while waiting for Bohl to come on. "Blah blah blah here at UND we don't pull that kind of crap" is basically what he said. Or in other words, "Here at UND, not only doesn't our poop stink but it should be dried and used as potpourri. Other programs are really really stinky - and not just their poop - and, frankly, it hurt my feelings." I think I heard Hakstol in the background too, "You tell them &*(&*ing *(&*&ers, Mussmann! You should have your boys stand up for their program and sucker punch their &(&(&ing QB in the &(&(*&ing head during the &*(&(*ing coin toss the next time you play them. Show those ^^*^*(ing monkey *((&(!^ers some &*(&**ing Sioux Pride and send a &(*&&ing ****E#$# message, eh!"

Hehe, how much more negative can you get than that than by calling everybody else's integrity into question?

But you are correct in stating that he did not refer to NDSU specifically in that regard. My bad if that is what my earlier post came across as implying.
Unethical recruiting? Would that be like telling recruits you're going to build a new football stadium with a retractable roof?

The tranition is not going as smoothly as they had hoped. I mean if we can do it so smoothly so can UND, right? Let's nor forget Northern Colorado. 2 time NCAA Champions are now bottom feeders of the Big Sky. They will have a lot of challenges. Can they do it? Yes. Is it a guarantee. Absolutely not.

I think that UND could do it smoothly. They've had some success against DI-aa teams at a D-2. They beat SUU (yes, I know they have a bad record) and Northern Iowa (at UNI's dome) not too long ago.

UND's success should not only be judged by their ability to win. NDSU's transition has been deemed a success by their record along with the recruiting, fund raising, community involvement and improved academics.

So, whether or not UND beat SUU or UNI I will withhold judgement (good or bad) on their transition until I see how they conduct themselves in the D1 environment.

that's true....One can never tell. The weakness I think of UND compared to NDSU is the crowds enthusiasm. At UND, hockey is by far the fan favorite. Even when students go to the football games, most of the time they are sporting their hockey gear. NDSU had and still does have a lot more enthusiasm about NDSU football.

I love this quote from Wentz:

“I’ve always wanted the chance to play football for NDSU,” Wentz said.

Here is a short article about Zach Wentz

There is a good video on it as well showing some good footage of Zach. I like when they go into the DII UND recruits
