Great Fcs Class! ! I Still Cant Believe We Didnt Pull Even ONE of 7 kids that left Uminnesota. ! Or Any Fbs Transfers . . . . I.d Like To See 1 Or 2 Kids That Would Walk In And Play Or Even Start, , Arent We At That Spot Now Where We Could Pull A Star On Signing Day That Could Start Here At NDSU, instead of redshirting at minn, iowa, wisc? ?

Some info from ESPN on the new OL commit from Michigan...

    Carlin Landingham
    OG | 6'2" 287

    Hometown: Muskegon, MI
    School: Muskegon High School
    Region: MidWest

    Scouts Grade: 68(solid prospect)
Position Rank: OG #120(#3 in MI)

Evaluation: Landingham plays offensive tackle in high school, but will need to slide inside and play guard at the college level. He is a solid run blocker. He makes adequate initial contact and can deliver a pop. He gets adequate hand placement, but needs to work on being more consistent in this area. He can generate some push, but is not a dominating drive blocker. Landingham does not seem to generate much power from his lower body and needs to work on bringing his hips and keeping his feet under him. He will get overextended and can struggle to maintain his block. He needs to work on staying on his feet as he is on the ground more than you would like your lineman to be. He does a solid job of working up to the second level and getting a piece of moving targets. He will flash the ability to shadow a rusher in the short area. He needs to be sure to play with knee bend and keep his feet moving. Landingham is a solid prospect. He has adequate size and needs to keep improving his game as he develops.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

WHAT DO WE NEED? Not much. The 2 Juco's DT's fill a hole so we don't have to lean on young guys. We need a backup QB. Maybe a burner at wideout. Seriously this team is way better than last year. We return pretty much the entire coaching staff too.

QB- Mertens is the man for 2 years. Immediate backup is a question mark. It would be nice getting someone as a plan B.

RB- Loaded with Roehl, Paschall, Blincoe, Voightlander, and DJ McNorton.

TE- Loaded with Wurzbacher, The God Of Thunder Thor Brown, Landon Smith, the 6'7'' Veldman.

WR- Loaded. Both starters return in Heckendorf and Belquist. Shultenover showed big play ability torward he end of the season. Shamen is a situational wideout. Then we got the 2 guys from Texas, Williams and Holloway. It would be cool finding a BURNER who can be used occassionaly.

OL- Losing LT Safe and LG Lekang are tough but this is a deep team. We're returning our Center, Right Guard, and Right Tackler. We've got 11 guys to replace the left side and that includes a Backowski, a transfer late last year from The University of Colorado. I'm confident our line will be solid.

    Defense

DE - Loaded with the return of starters Lardinois and Compton plus 6 guys behind them.

DT - Mike Fairbairn is the most experienced guy and should be the leader of the group. Seemed to be thin and young until we got 2 JUCO's from California to solidify the line. We have some talented young guys but it looks like Bohl wants a plan B in case they aren't ready. Guys like Matt Gratzek, Matt Philips could play a huge role next year.

Linebacker - Loaded. Despite losing Mays, this is a tremendous unit with starters Marsh and Humber returning. Tyler Henry will take over for Mays at the mike. Young guys like Matt Anderson are good enough to start but we're just too deep. Same goes for Kittleson, Senger, and Beson.

Corners - Loaded. We go 6 deep and 4 have started. 2 are young up and comers. We're getting back Courtney Mitchel and Richard Bowman who missed last year. We're returning Nate Agbetola. John Richardson played well as a JUCO last year who ended up staring. THen youo got Colvin and Banks.

Safety - Return our 2 starters in Belmont and Schoemer. Lots of depth.

    Kicker - Bibeau rocks
Punter - Impossible to replace. Hopefully we won't need to punt much.

Looking at the Forum article this morning, it looks like we have a really talented recruiting class.

Please note, I don't go to Web sites like Rivals, but from what Coach Bohl and his staff has done in the past, I expect these recruits to be very salty. It takes time to see what we have and I think that is the fun part.

I think so. Even Grand Forks is covering the Bison.

Where is the best place to be looking for the "official list"? I remember last year I first saw it on Gobison.com at about 3:30 in the afternoon. Anyone else know of any other offical sites where it may appear first?

Maybe the Bison Blog (not offical but they're plugged in) - but I think The Forums list will be close.

I'm not sure when the Press Conference is scheduled, but I think 740AM is going to have live coverage of it.
