If it flies it dies.
Long for the days of freezing in the south stands of Dacotah Field.
I'll be there wearing my Wentz Eagles jersey. That will be awkward.
Someone better trademark "Carson Wentz Revenge Game" quickly!
Anyone else get the feeling this could be a turning point for him? Win and he's the starter going forward...lose and it's back to the bench?
Possibly but I think it has to be more than just win. If he plays really well and they win it will make it hard to start JJ. If they win and he has 175 yards a TD and no INTs then I'm not sure JJ couldn't do the same thing. Bottom line, imo, it's going to be hard to keep JJ on the bench without an impressive showing.
Just make the layups, get rid of the ball, stay upright, and no hero ball. Please!?!?
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
I would guess JJ starts Thursday against the Chargers no matter what happens this Sunday. He's going to get every chance to be the guy right up until they draft the next one.
Another good sign for Wentz (assuming he starts) is that starting LG Donovan Jackson was a full participant in practice today and starting RT Brian Oneill is tracking towards playing it sounds like so the only backup OL will be at C and Blake Brandel played pretty well there against Cleveland although backup C Michael Jurgens (who was also hurt for the Cleveland game) appears to be ready to go also.
I’m not so sure… if Wentz keeps winning, maybe they stick with him until he loses or plays poor. I could also see them go back to JJ again for a game or 2 and then he gEtS iNjUrEd again after playing poorly again and Wentz gets the rest of the season…
