I'm guessing McCarthy's ankle got a little worse after that game-winning drive.

That pass was a thing of beauty. Not as spectacular as that other worldly sidearm thing he threw right down the sideline marker AROUND a defender some years back but, almost as good IMHO. As you say, Addison did a professional job at pulling it in as well.

That was the single worst matchup the Vikings could have faced. Carson showed some insane grit and his experience helped us win on that last drive. He's clearly a good fit for what Kevin OConnel is trying to do with limited resources. Will he continue to start? Who knows but I have a tough time believing JJ is experienced enough to overcome the massive shortcomings this team has on the o-line right now. It could destroy the young QBs confidence

Tv conversation with Carson, saying it’s a pass that is fairly new in his repitore

Meanwhile at Bison level, Cole Payton shows nice ability to drop it in over a defender already

Might be a day Carson is as good as Cole? /s maybe

Fun to see Carson come around at the end. That was a picture perfect last drive. 9/9, 71 yards playing with four backup lineman, one who was an undrafted rookie in his first game, against one of the best defenses in the league. KOC finally getting his head dislodged from his ass and calling short quick plays definitely helped.

Interesting decision for the Vikings now. Once again after the game the talking heads were saying Carson should remain the starter. Though struggling a lot at times, he has handily outplayed JJ so far.

I'm thinking Wentz starts next game vs Eagles, if he can lead them to a win there things could get interesting.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

Agree. With Browns D-line (#1 in pass rush win-rate and #1 against the run) and how many starters and backups Vikes O-line were without, Vikes shouldn’t have been in the game. Throw in the 2 fumbles, so down in turnover battle, and the field goal hitting whatever that cable was for, the game shouldn’t have been close!

There are articles written about how well the Browns QB did; no mention of Wentz. But I can’t wait to see the post-game interview and KOC locker room game ball video.

Comparing the time to throw that Hurts got today behind the eagles line to Vikes the past couple of weeks is eye-opening. Can’t wait until the line gets healthy; hopefully Carson gets a chance in two weeks. Even if his shoulder isn’t healthy or KOC goes back to JJ, he may get another chance later…
