2-0 loss at Marquette. They had a similar RPI to NDSU last year so that would have been a nice non-conf W.

Now on to the rest of the non-conference schedule. Hopefully they can rack up some good wins and build some confidence going into the final non-conf game and Summit League play. Not much for challenging non-conf opponents other than Washington State and maybe UCSB, so build some depth and team chemistry that will be needed for conference games and tourney.

Losses to UCSB and FAU, now on to Washington State, most likely the toughest challenge so far and then on to Summit League play. It really would have been nice to pick up a couple wins against either the Big Sky teams or UCSB or FAU. Hopefully they can get their mojo back for the conference season.

Mrs. Hammerhead and I went to our first college soccer game last night just for something different to do. I can't remember the last sporting event I attended that didn't charge admission. There were more fans than I expected to see and even a tailgater from Omaha in the parking lot which was probably some parents of the players.
