We’re here in the real world with real degrees from a real school talking about real things that might make sense. Your odd hatred for Montana is obviously tainting your logic. We beat one of them by 3 points last year and lost to the other in the semis the year before. What the actual fuck are you talking about?

I mean, fuck, I hate SDSU and UND, but if we get a G6 offer contingent upon their membership, I would take it in a heartbeat. Sounds like you only want to play in the Big10.

    Good luck with that fantasy.
Reminder being in a conference with Montana is probably more pie in the sky than getting Big Ten and Big 12 teams back on the schedule. There is no path where that is an outcome .

On the other hand when NDSU gets it's imminent FBS invite, local peers will be back on the schedule.

Yeah and some Montana or Dakota schools may also get invited, probably from similar conferences… it would make a lot of sense because they’re regional and peer institutions.

It’s not outlandish. It could happen. And it would make sense.

Now point on the doll where Montana hurt you…

The slavish devotion to a program that last won a title the same year as UND.

It's like trying to be friends with the cool kid from middle school but not until he's a 48 year old unemployed drunk.

Real life honest question here... is there any legal reasons one could not take the WAC and revitalize it? It was an FBS conference once, and now that its defunct.... the ladder is just... permanently pulled up? I've not heard Dom or Kolpack or anyone talk about the logistics of this.
Time to join our peers in the FBS. Do WHATEVER it takes. Also... consider firing ML. any CEO who is 5-10 years behind the tide/movement gets fired. Why do we accept this with ML?

The thing about Montana and Montana State is that their games look great on TV. Their atmospheres are better than any of the G5 schools that NDSU used to be able to schedule, aren't they?

There you go, moving the goalposts again. That UND degree is not doing you any favors…

No one here is saying WE MUST MOVE FBS WITH MONTANA OR WE WILL FAIL OR WE CANNOT MOVE FBS!!! We’re just saying they would be good partners for a move if the opportunity presented itself. Multiple reasons have been stated by multiple posters on this point, and so far your only counterpoint has been: “I don’t like Montana.”

It might be time to let this one go.

I don’t think you’re going to get a reasonable answer to this question from the UND graduate over there…

NDSU only played 4 group of five schools and it's perfectly appropriate to put them right next to Wyoming.

You guys want to anchor yourselves to Montana go right ahead. Just don't pretend that's some great honor, because it isn't. Its pathetic.

Literally the best thing any of you have to say about Montana is that people show up to their games. I know the bar is low but jfc.
